Call it a Dayis a comedic play written by Dodie Smith. This programme features portraits of actress Phyllis Dare and actor Percy Marmont, who star in the play as a married couple. While they are not widely remembered today by modern audiences, Dare and Marmont were quite famous during their era. Phyllis Dare was an important figure in musical theatre during the early 20th century, and Percy Marmont acted in numerous films. Call it a Day was adapted into a film in 1937, with the leads going to Olivia de Havilland and Ian Hunter.
